Ginger tea is an ancient medicinal drink that has been consumed throughout time. It is also the first share in my series of "What's the SIP" (Sacred Indigenous Practice). Indulging in ginger reminds me of the phrase, "ginger root is good for the youth," in Dead Prez's song "Be Healthy". There is also an Indian proverb that states, "everything that is good is found in ginger". Ginger production is largest in Nigeria, Nepal, Indonesia and China and is often used in Caribbean, African and Asian foods.
Ginger tea has a host of health benefits that may:
Help fight cancer
Soothe an upset stomach
Support weightloss
Reduce inflammation from arthritis
Act as a stress reliever
Soothe airways
Heal canker sores
Alleviate menstrual cramps
Offer menopausal support
Stimulate digestion
Lower blood pressure
Protect against Dementia, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's
